ابن باكُوَيْه ( - 428 هـ = - </p><p> 37 م) محمد بن عبد الله بن عبيد الله بن أحمد الشيرازي، أبو عبد الله بن باكُوَيْه: صوفي، من كبار المشايخ في عصره. من أهل شيراز. عني بالحديث. ورحل الى جرجان وبغداد والبصرة وأصبهان ودمشق وهراة وبلخ وبخارى والكوفة، فأخذ عن جماعة، وأخذ عنه آخرون منهم أبو القاسم القشيري (صاحب الرسالة) وصنف كتبا منها (بداية الحلاج ونهايته - ط) صغير، و (أخبار العارفين) نقلا عن: الأعلام للزركلي

«Fighting (for the cause of the Lord) is already imposed upon you as a duty. You may not like the idea of fighting; however, there are so many things that you resent them and they are good for you. On the contrary, there are many things that look good at first sight but are bad for you. God knows [what is good or bad for you] while you do not know.»
